2014 Army Football Scout Days – October 11, 2014

ArmySports2
Attention all Scouts, Friends, and Family:

Saturday October 11 is the 2014 Army Football Scout Days at West Point Academy!

Admission is $25/ticket  and includes the following:

Game Admission, Cadet Review/Military Parade, Cadet led walking tours, Cadet Club Activities Displays, Army Football Scout Day Patch, Pre and Post-Game Festivities.

Proposed Itinerary:

7-7:30 am:  Arrival on base (gates to the base open at 6 am, you can arrive before 7 if they want)

8 am:  Cadet led walking tours

9 am:  Cadet review

10-11:30 am:  Scout activities**

12 pm:  Kick-off for Army vs. Rice football game

** We haven’t been given specific details on what the scout activities will be for this year.  In the past, kids have been able to climb inside Humvees, participate in boot camp exercises, etc.  I imagine the activities this year will be similar to prior years.

Concessions will be open when the stadium gates open at 10 am.  Therefore you should be able to get food once you enter the stadium.  Sometimes scout groups will bring bagged lunches with them and eat them during the morning, but you won’t be able to bring any outside food inside the stadium.

There is also a 10pm cadet-led tour for those who missed the 8am tour.

We would plan on meeting as a group at the grounds.  It is about 1 hour and 15 min drive from Wilton to West Point.

This has been a fun trip in the past for all ages.

Please let David Fryer know if you would like to attend via email david.fryer@bofacapital.com and also send checks made out to Pack 17 ($25 per person) with a note on how many tickets you want to:

Pack 17 Popcorn Sale 2014

2010_TrailsEnd
The Pack 17 Popcorn Sale is in full swing! We are in the process of completing the show and sell activity and are on to the take orders. The take order is the most traditional way to sell; going door-to-door with the take order form. Your customer chooses the product(s) he or she wishes to buy and writes the order on your form. You can either collect the money at the time of sale or collect when you deliver the product to your customers a few weeks later. It is advisable to collect up front so you don’t have to make multiple trips back to collect. Take order forms need to be submitted to your den leader by October 24, 2014. Take order forms were handed out at the first pack meeting. If you still need a form, please contact Mark Gilmor, Popcorn Chairman, and he will get it to you.

Selling online is the best way to sell to your friends and family who live out of town. You can send emails to your customers asking them to purchase Trail’s End products online. Your customers click on the link in your email and can begin shopping right away. They order products online and pay with a credit card, and Trail’s End ships the products directly to your customers. Go to Trails End online sales and create an account.
